We are delighted to announce that HRMI will be presenting at international human rights and technology gathering RightsCon, in June 2019 in Tunis. We’ll be hosting a tech workshop unveiling our brand-new data portal (launching in June), and releasing our 2019 Human Rights Report, tracking the human rights progress of 160+ countries.
RightsCon is an annual event that used to be based in Silicon Valley, but now rotates each year to new host cities around the world. This year it will be hosted in Tunis, Tunisia.
The draft programme, with over 800 sessions, has just been released. You can see us in Theme 17: Skill-building: Tools, Demos and Trainings. We’re looking forward to showing human rights defenders how they can use our data to bring about change in their countries.
Will you be there? Let us know!
We’re particularly interested in meeting human rights workers from around the world, and all those helping, funding and supporting their work. We want to let people know how HRMI’s data can help in their work, and also meet anyone who wants to help bring the annual HRMI civil and political rights data collection to their country. We’d love to hear from you before RightsCon if you’re interested in meeting up. Follow us on Twitter: @rightsmetrics, drop us an email or fill out the secure contact form here.
See you there!
