Is the global human rights situation getting better or worse?

That’s a big question, and one that we at the Human Rights Measurement Initiative have been glad to tackle in a recent paper. This year we have begun a collaboration with Universal Rights Group, pairing our human rights data with their focus on equipping countries to make positive changes through the United Nations.

In this short paper, hosted on URG’s website, you can read about the unique contribution our economic and social rights measurement methods bring to the human rights world, how HRMI’s data can help countries working on the Sustainable Development Goals, and find the answer to the title question: Is the global situation of human rights improving or deteriorating?
