Human Rights in Hong Kong (Webinar)

We launched our latest human rights data on Hong Kong alongside an expert panel of activists who shared their thoughts and experiences on the violations being faced by people in Hong Kong. Our panellists included:

Maldives Data Launch (Webinar)

Run by our South Asia Engagement Lead, we hosted a webinar on our latest human data for the Maldives. Discussions included:

Mexico and Venezuela Data Launch (Webinar)
10 July 2025
Run by our Co-Executive Director, Melissa del Aguila, and co-organised alongside our ambassadors for Mexico and Venezuela, we held a closed launch webinar for our latest data on Mexico and Venezuela with CSO representatives and activists on the ground.

China’s Transnational Repression Data Launch (Webinar)
18 July 2025
Moderated by our East Asia Engagement Lead, we launched our latest data on China alongside an expert panel of human rights activists who shared their experiences and advocacy asks around China’s transnational repression. Our panellists included:

- Rushan Abbas (Founder and Executive Director of Campaign for Uyghurs and Chairperson of the Executive Committee of World Uyghur Congress)
- Chemi Lhamo (Tibetan activist and community organiser)

- Dorjee Tseten (Member of Tibetan Parliament in Exile & Asia Program Manager, Tibet Action Institute)

Malaysia Data Launch (Physical Event)
18 July 2025
Co-organised with Suara Rakyat Malaysia (SUARAM), our South East Asia Engagement Lead, Keshia Mahmood, ran a physical event in Kuala Lumpur to launch our new data on Malaysia.
The event included 20 human rights activists who discussed HRMI’s latest data and how it can be used in their advocacy on the ground and in international human rights spaces.
China Data Launch (X Space Discussion)

We will be hosting an X Space discussion in Mandarin on our new data on China alongside an expert group of panellists.
