Hartini Zainudin is a children’s rights activist in Malaysia who is currently a consultant for a local humanitarian organisation. She co-founded Yayasan Chow Kit, a Malaysian NGO addressing children’s rights and protection through the provision of services in Kuala Lumpur. As South-East Asia’s focal person for a UN organisation, she has also worked closely with UNHCR and UNICEF Malaysia. Hartini was a member of the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development’s National Advisory Council on the Welfare and Protection of Children and has trained the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency on issues of child trafficking.
