Women’s rights defenders need better data. HRMI can help.

Women’s rights are human rights, and women’s rights workers need better data to do their important work.

The Human Rights Measurement Initiative is now seeking funding to create a specialist set of women’s rights metrics, to give human rights defenders a powerful new tool to push for change and hold governments to account.

Here’s a short video introduction to our plans, featuring four human rights defenders who participated at our Johannesburg co-design workshop: human rights lawyer Itumeleng Shale from Lesotho, Mbali Dlamani from COSPE-Swaziland in Eswatini, Seif Magango from Amnesty International Eastern Africa, and Birgit Kainz-Labbé from the United Nations OHCHR.
