Ellie has worked in the Pacific region for different organisations and national governments for seventeen years. Her work centers around environment governance, particularly strategy/policy development, project management in the area of biodiversity conservation, climate adaptation and climate finance. Ellie has teaching experience at the tertiary level, co-authored a book “Plants of Tuvalu” and recently had the opportunity to write a report on gender and climate financing for Oxfam in the Pacific. Her interest in the area of human rights is in indigenous rights – preserving their identity, maintaining the connection between people, land and ocean.
