Please nominate your recommended expert survey respondents here!

We understand how important it is to protect the anonymity of potential survey respondents, and we take this responsibility seriously. All information in this form is encrypted and sent directly to our highly secure database.

Please provide names and contact details of any potential survey respondents for the countries you are familiar with.

Who can be a survey respondent?

  • Human rights experts (researchers, lawyers, other practitioners) who are monitoring human rights practices in the country. Experts may be working for an international or domestic NGO, a civil society organisation, or in a private legal practice.
  • Journalists covering human rights issues in the country.
  • Staff working for the National Human Rights Institution (NHRI) of a survey country, ONLY if it is fully compliant with the Paris Principles including being completely independent in fulfilling its mandate.

Survey respondents will need to be able to complete the survey in one of the available languages. Currently these are: English, Arabic, French, Korean, European Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Spanish, Vietnamese, Nepali, Hindi, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Thai, Bangla, Tamil, Sinhala, Bahasa Indonesia.

People who should not be nominated as a survey respondent include:

  • People not highly knowledgeable about human rights practices in that country.
  • Victims of human rights violations whose human rights knowledge comes only from their personal experiences.
  • People working for the government, or for a government-organised NGO.
  • Academics, unless they are also practitioners, working with primary sources of information.

Please provide as many names of potential survey respondents as possible (ensuring they meet the criteria listed above). Contact details should include an email address.

If you need more space or would like to nominate people from more than one country, please submit another nomination form. (You will see a link to the new nomination form after you click ‘submit’).

Please note that these nominees are all for the same country you select.
