Aida Baijumanova has been working in the field of human rights since 2004. From 2007 she has been involved in cases on protection of the rights of vulnerable groups, and since 2010 in the protection of the rights of victims of the interethnic conflict in the South of the Kyrgyz Republic and the rights of human rights defenders. Since 2018, she is the coordinator of the project “Protection of the rights of torture and ill-treatment”, implemented with the support of the UN Voluntary Fund for Victims of Torture. She is currently the executive director of “Bir Duino Kyrgyzstan”.
