Mennah is a third-year student at the University of Georgia pursuing bachelor’s degrees in international affairs and journalism and a minor in Arabic. Her passion for human rights was sparked during her freshman year when she began conducting human rights research under the supervision of Dr. K. Chad Clay. Mennah is particularly interested in human rights issues in the Middle East as both her parents are from Egypt. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a human rights-focused career that combines her research, policy, and legal experience.
