Ronna Lee is currently the Student Welfare Officer at The University of the South Pacific, Samoa Campus and a part time teacher for the Media & Journalism School at The National University of Samoa. She is a proud Samoan with Chinese heritage. Her eclectic work experience includes years of teaching, new presenting, co-hosting of national & regional events, guest-curator at the National Museum of Samoa and a passionate advocate for the rights of marginalized groups to quality education. She inspired this poem by Faamuina Felolini Maria Tafuna’i:
Oh whirlwind of chaotic beauty | Flowing hair and expert mascara
Telling dog tales, student ails, hilarious fails | With eyes that dance, laughter that binds
Hero of the day, queen of the night | Sharpening iron with her iron
